The cluster has been up and running for a little over 2 years and the network continues to grow. This year GB7GT and GB7BX were joined by GB7WD and GB7BJ to create a cluster that covers from the Shropshire / Cheshire borders down to Dursley and Stroud in Gloucestershire.
Many thanks to the following people for their financial support during 2017:
Thank you! Hopefully in 2018 we will see GB7OZ back on air from Oswestry and GB7CC will join the cluster to improve coverage in Cheltenham / Gloucester and the Cotswolds.

December 23rd marked our 2nd birthday!
The 23/12/2015 was the day when GB7BX joined GB7GT and the cluster was born. It is important to note that the Salop & Borders Network is an independent collection of repeaters and beacons that are NOT centrally controlled or funded. There is no club or group to join, no annual membership fee and no politics. The individual keepers have invested their own time and money, and rely totally on your goodwill and generosity to help keep them running. Happy New Year to everyone that uses the network and we look forward to GB7CC joining the cluster in 2018. GB7CC is a new application for a UHF DMR repeater on Cleeve Common near Cheltenham.
This repeater will be joining the Salop & Borders Network and will improve coverage for DMR users in Cheltenham, Gloucester, along the M50 corridor towards Monmouth and into South Wales. A new 'Dummies Guide to DMR in the UK' has been produced - read all about it on the Southgate web site and download your copy!

It is connected to the cluster and reports are welcome. |
