Following the rather seismic changes to the Brandmeister UK organisation last week, we are pleased to announce we are staying with Brandmeister and will make all the necessary changes to update our repeaters as soon as possible.
GB7GT is already reconnected and we should see all the others reconnecting to the new UK server over the next week. GB7BX and GB3BX are now operational on DMR only from Brown Clee, currently on a temporary antenna system until rigger is able to attend site.
We are still waiting for the Internet to be installed, so they are operating as a back-to-back pair, Slot 1 is linked across both repeaters, Slot 2 is local to the repeater being used. Please adhere to the Salop Cluster convention of Slot 1 / TG75 and Slot 2 / TG9. Please note, GB3BX is CC13, and GB7BX is CC11. Special talkgroups for JOTA and JOTI. TG 907 (international) and 235907 (UK).
Full details here: http://brandmeister-907-jota-joti-yota.cloudaccess.host/ GB7HC in Hereford is now operational.
Slot 1 / TG75 Salop Cluster Slot 2 / TG9 Local Slot 2 / TG23580 West Midlands Talkgroup Reception reports please ... Oh dear ...
Reflectors will be turned off later this year by Brandmeister Global ... https://news.brandmeister.network/brandmeister-dmr-reflectors-support-ending-by-end-of-2020/ We don't agree with this move and believe it is a retrograde step, but there is not much we can do. We'll try to make this as painless as possible for everyone on the network, so the following changes have been rolled out across the cluster: Slot 1 / TG75 Salop Cluster Slot 2 / TG9 Local Slot 2 / TG23580 West Midlands Talkgroup (*) This may change on some repeaters, they may choose 23500, 23510, 23570 or 23590 depending on location. We have noticed that the Cheltenham D-Star repeater, GB7RC, which on the same frequency as GB7DY has recently got a little stronger over the last couple of weeks.
If you are experiencing any problems let us know and we'll get in touch with them. A new proposal has been submitted to the RSGB ETCC for GB7HC in Hereford.
This repeater will supplement CC and GT, providing hand-portable coverage within the City of Hereford and improved mobile coverage across Herefordshire. A new site has been found for GB3BX and GB7BX on Brown Clee, this is currently with the RSGB ETCC for vetting.
GB3BX is a 2m repeater on 145.675 licenced for dual mode (analogue and digital) operation. In light of the application by the HubNet group for an analogue repeater near Clee Hill we propose to make GB3BX DMR only and a 'full member' of the Salop Cluster. GB7BX on 70cm will be the same as before, except for a minor change to Colour Code 11 in order to bring it into line with its cluster neighbours DY and WD. |
