All change at GB7KR in Kidderminster!
The dual-mode repeater GB7KR has closed and returned as GB3KA on the same frequency pair and CTCSS. GB7KR will return early in the new year on it's new channel of DVU-R23 (430.2875/439.2875MHz) as a DMR only repeater co-sited with GB3KA. It will be on the Brandmeister network and adopt the Salop Cluster talkgroup conventions. See KRG.club for further information. The cluster has been up and running for a little over 4 years and the network continues to grow, albeit at a slower pace than in previous years. We continue to see 'out of area' access to the cluster on 23575 and people enjoy the wider brandmeister facilities available to them. Many thanks to the following people for their continued support during 2019:

Take a look at their QRZ page here. The cluster has been up and running for a little over 3 years and the network continues to grow. This year GB7CC, GB7GB and GB7DY joined to create a cluster that covers from the Shropshire / Cheshire borders down to Dursley and Stroud in Gloucestershire and across the West Midlands.
Although we are no longer a closed cluster, joining Brandmeister has allowed us to have the best of both worlds - a local network on TG 75 for mobile and portable users across the area with remote access for hotspots and more distant access on TG 23575 ... PLUS access to all the feature of the wider Brandmeister network for those that want it. Many thanks to the following people for their continued support during 2018:
... and a few others who made anonymous donations via our PayPal MoneyPool. Thank you! Hopefully in 2019 we will see GB7OZ and GB7BX back on air and GB7WN and GB7EH will join the cluster to improve coverage even further. GB7DY came on the air today, 17th December, at 10:15 this morning.
It will supplement coverage to the South West of Dudley across Merry Hill, Stourbridge, the Stour Valley and South Birmingham. Merry Christmas! GB7DY will be on-air in the week for Christmas - so get ready and programme your radios!
It will supplement network coverage across Dudley, Merry Hill, The Stour Valley and South Birmingham. GB7DY is now licensed - it will be on air as soon as we find a suitable repeater.
New application for GB7WN (co-located with GB3WN) to supplement coverage of GB7WD and GB7GB. Great coverage for the Black Country! We are pleased to announce that GB7GB in North Birmingham has now joined the Salop Cluster via Brandmeister!
As of Tuesday 4th September 2018, we are pleased to announce that GB7GT is back ...
Many thanks to all those involved in repairing the power cable to the site. Without your help and support this would not have been possible. |
